[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Anneliese Alonso: “Everything in balance”

Anneliese Alonso is an Ontario-based artist known for her playful, whimsical, and pastel digital art. Her artwork is influenced by pop culture, cute things, emotional music, and nature. When Anneliese is not drawing, she enjoys playing video games, watching Netflix, and drinking bubble tea. A motto that Anneliese lives by is “everything in balance”.

[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Ameena Fareeda: “Dream, Hope, Forward”

Ameena Fareeda is a Maryland-based artist known for her happy, vibrant, and playful digital art. Her artwork is influenced by the smaller things in life and being drawn to patterns and colors. When Ameena is not drawing, she enjoys making different forms of art, such as screen printing, but also likes listening to music and reading. Words that Ameena lives by are “dream, hope, forward”.

[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Kim Ekdahl: “Never stop making art”

Kim Ekdahl is a Swedish-based artist known for her colorful, vivid, and fantasy-themed digital art. Her artwork is influenced by video games, books, and nature. When Kim is not drawing, she enjoys playing video games and reading fantasy novels. A motto that Kim lives by is to “never stop making art; even if you feel that you are failing, if you continue to work on your craft and push through you will always improve and grow”.

Gibson Howell is a Vermont-based artist known for her bright digital art. Her artwork is influenced by her daily life, people that inspire her, and the music that she loves. When Gibson is not drawing, she is enjoying her favorite music. A motto that Gibson lives by is to “find beauty in small details”.

[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Jessica Luna: “I’d rather have a life of ‘oh wells’ than a life of ‘what ifs’”

Jessica Luna is an Italian artist known for her dreamlike, minimalistic, and mysterious digital art. Her artwork is influenced by space vibes and music that she listens to. When Jessica is not drawing, she loves singing and enjoys music in general. Jessica lives by the motto that she would “rather have a life of ‘oh wells’ than a life of ‘what ifs’”.

[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Christopher Eads: “Never give up!”

Christopher Eads is a Pennsylvania-based artist known for his colorful and soulful designs. His artwork is inspired by mangas, old comic books, Swiss Design, Bauhaus, colors and shapes, and Instagram. When Christopher is not drawing, he enjoys playing keys and bass guitar, reading, sleeping, and trying to be a DJ. A motto that Christopher goes by is to “never give up”.

[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Dane Khy: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You”

Dane Khy is an Ohio-based artist known for his minimal yet complex work through the use of one continuous line. His artwork is inspired by empathy, human connection, and animal rescues. When Dane is not drawing, he enjoys brewing, bouldering, and reading. A motto that Dane goes by is Dr. Seuss’ poem, “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You”.

[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Zuha Lutfi: “Keep learning and creating everyday and your horizons will widen”

Zuha Lutfi is a Pakistani artist known for her realistic, observational, and evoking acrylic paintings. Her artwork is inspired by her vision of the world. When Zuha is not painting, she enjoys poetry, prose, and reading. A motto that Zuha goes by is to “keep learning and creating everyday and your horizons will widen”.

[ATAS Artist Spotlight] Nan Cao: “Looking for ideas and courage from books”

Nan Cao is a New York based artist known for her emotional, delicate, and sensitive multifaceted illustrations. Her artwork is influenced by her daily life in the big city and the art that she sees in museums. When Nan is not drawing, she enjoys reading, strolling around museums, walking in the park, and swimming. Although Nan does not have a specific motto that she goes by, she enjoys “looking for ideas and courage from the books” that she reads in each time period.
